Public Tasting

The focus of the show is not only to award Trophies and Medals to exceptional wines but also to promote the show in the local wine market and assist wineries with exposure in the region. After judging has finished the public are invited to attend our annual public tasting.

Where: De Jarlais Function Centre, Cairns Showgrounds

Times:  3pm till 6pm

The Cairns Show Wine Awards is a feature event on the Australian Wine Industry Calendar. The Public Tasting following the official awards is you're once a year opportunity to sample some of the best wines from the most respected winemakers in the country. Visitors can expect to indulge in Australia finest wines and samples delights from local food producers. Free wine appreciation workshops are held throughout the day for those who would like to gain a deeper knowledge of wine tasting. There are only a limited number of tickets on sale.

Advance purchase tickets cost $25 and tickets are $30 at the door. Group tickets for 10 or more are available for $20 each.
